Partial refund question
This sale is a large, high end appliance. Appliance was delivered successfully with no apparent damage. Buyer initiated a return/refund due to carrier damage to a non-essential accessory that I mailed separately (not freight). Ebay set a deadline of March 17 to respond to the buyer request for refund. In that time, accessory carrier settled with me for full declared value of accessory. I immediately offered the full settlement amount to buyer as a partial refund on the appliance sale price, which has not been accepted or rejected by the buyer. Buyer is currently thoroughly inspecting high-end appliance for full functionality with this claim open against me. My Return Details page shows my partial refund offer, and shows Awaiting Buyer Response. I do not see any indication about a new deadline anywhere. Will my account be negatively impacted on March 17 (tomorrow)?

Mentor5 months agoYou offered a partial refund to the buyer before the March 17 deadline. The ball is now in the buyer's court.

OP5 months agoThank you so much disneyhopper. I have had a difficult time navigating the different ebay sites. Follow up question: Given my offer of partial refund on March 13, why did Ebay give the buyer until April 15 to close the claim? That is 33 days, an eternity to verify the appliance matches my listing description.
