Partial refund issued after cancelling an order
I recently made an order where the seller asked me to cancel because the item was not available anymore. After cancellation I was only refunded part of the original charge. Item was quoted in USD and I paid in SGD.
Is this expected ?

-First, the eBay Cancellation process that Sellers use will refund the full amount that their customer paid.
-Next, Sellers can issue partial refunds which are NOT part of the cancellation process. It sounds like this is what the Seller may have done to keep some of the money you paid them.
-If there were customs and duty fees you paid when you purchased I am not sure how those get refunded in your country or when they are due for payment at the time of the order.
-Check your purchase history to see if there is any indication that the transaction was actually cancelled.
If not then you would have to wait until one day past the original estimated delivery date to file a claim through eBay that you did not receive your purchase.
