Partial refund

Question

My buyer wants a partial refund for an item that arrived broken. He wants to keep the item and I am good giving him a $300 partial refund. Tried and tried to find out how to do this at Ebay but they just expect a complete refund and a return of the item. Customer service is no help. Tried to talk to a real person and wrote out my problem only to get a notice that try later. No one to help.

If the buyer has not filed a Return Request, you can issue a partial refund for the item in your Seller Hub. Here's how:

Locate the order in Seller Hub. https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord
From the dropdown menu, select Send refund.
Choose a reason for the refund.
Specify a refund amount for the item or for the order.
Enter the desired refund amount, and select Send refund.
