Partial Refund
Hi, a few days ago I purchased a Nintendo Switch 2, and one of the parts, the dock, arrived broken. Since I gave it as a gift to a friend who lives in Argentina, he isn't able to ship the item back because of the high international shipping costs.
I contacted eBay support to request a partial refund, but the seller sent me a return label instead. What should I do?

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @mateohs18 @lady_madonna is correct. A partial refund is optional and the seller cannot be forced to offer one. The seller is allowed to require the item to be returned for a full refund.
Also, if the item was originally delivered to you and then forwarded or sent to your friend in Argentina, that can affect eBay Money Back Guarantee coverage because the item was moved to another address after the original delivery.

Mentor2 weeks agoThere is nothing you can do since you gave the item away as a gift and cannot be returned to the seller.
Ebay cannot force partial refunds.
