I'm getting this message with a browser I normally use for eBay:

As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:
- You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed.
- You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser.
- A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running.
I had to use an alternate browser to get logged in as there was no option to login with the one I always use (Brave browser). None of the above mentioned reasons were present when I tried to login.

That might be an indication that JavaScript is not enabled or is otherwise blocked on eBay in your Brave browser.
Check your browser for updates and make sure JavaScript is actually enabled.

OP2 years agoAs I said none of the list reasons were the problem. JavaScript IS enabled. What I did find though is that apparently eBay has made some change in the last couple days. When I disabled the function listed below which has always been enabled I can now login. In Brave browser settings I had to disable this:
"Prevent sites from fingerprinting me based on my language preferences" X
Enabling this setting reduces how much web sites can learn about your language preferences.
