Can somebody explain how this works. I like to know what my money is paying for, as the Ebay site does not explain this.

Mentor6 months ago@doham I believe you are referring to Shipcover insurance since you are selling coins that are over $20.
You are wasting your money on standard USPS insurance OR Shipcover for coins. Shipcover specifically says they don't cover coins and USPS says this> Standard insurance (Priority Mail/Ground Advantage) for coins, currency, or bullion is generally limited to a maximum of $15.00.
The only way you can insure coin shipments is with registered mail that you have to buy at the post office.
Keep in mind that if the sale totals $750 ( including the shipping) or more that you must get a signature on delivery.
eBay Standard Envelope shipments for coins priced at $20 or less does include insurance for loss or damage in shipment.
