Why do sellers pay for a label, but do not send the package out right away. We, the buyers, pay right away. Thus your package is not arriving at said date. E bay should update there policy so that sellers stop delaying sending packages.

USPS doesn’t always scan packages when they are initially dropped off … so buyers don’t always know when a package is actually on its way.
eBay policy is that sellers should ship within the handling time they’ve put In the listing … and must ship within 30 days of payment.
Most eBay sellers do not ‘do eBay’ full time. Many work full time jobs and/or care for children or disabled relatives … or are themselves disabled.
We really can’t expect individual eBay sellers to ship in the same timespan as companies who employ workers to ship items stored in warehouses. I’m a buyer only … but know that shipping items is much more time-consuming than the few clicks of a mouse it takes to pay.

Mentor3 years agoSellers set their own handling time (from 1-30 days0 which is included in the transit time that determines the estimated delivery date. You agree to that handling time when you make the purchase. Some sellers purchase their shipping labels as soon as the order comes in as per their shipping process. When they purchase their label should be of no concern to you.
When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
