Paid for item,seller sold item, how do I get a refund

I bought an item seller contacted me same day told me he could not find the item he told me to put in for a refund tried several different ways I cannot get any help from eBay

As soon as the estimated date of delivery has passed by at least 1 day you can file a Refund Request:

Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history

Select â€œMore actionsâ€ beside your item and then â€œI didn't receive it.â€
Click the box beside I want a refund.
Select Send request.

If the seller does not respond after 3 days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

Find the item in your Purchase History
Select See request details
Select â€œAsk eBay to step in.â€
