paid for item, never received and never got refunded
I received a computer with a preprogrammed software installed. I realized the software was incorrect and needed to be changed to a different one. The seller agreed to change it if i mailed it back to them. I paid for shipping to send it back to them. Last messages I got on the progress of the software change was in October. I requested a refund (which was now outside of the Ebay return policy). I am now at a position where I not only do not have the item, but also can not even get refunded. This is not right in any aspect and both Ebay and The seller are refusing to be responsible for quite literally stealing my money. Any help or contact I can reach out to would be greatly appreciated.

REALLY sorry you were scammed by that Seller, they are all NOT like that. Their Feedback history might have clues on how honest they may or may not be.
Due to the time frame you refer to your only recourse is to pursue a dispute with your funding source but that can only be for the original eBay purchase for an item that was not as described. I suspect they will not do anything to compensate you for the out of pocket shipping you incurred sending the item back to the Seller for repair.
If you are fortunate and win the dispute for the eBay purchase the Seller will be charged $ 20.00 for the dispute processing.

OP7 months agoThank you for the reply. This is our most recent conversation and I was curious if they are just blowing smoke or if this is something I should wait to hear back from them about.
My email to them,
"If a refund is out of the question, then I would like the computer sent back to me. As of now, I have paid for a computer that I received, returned to your company for a different software to be installed, and then never received the computer back.
