Paid for a pre order item back in August Still havent recieved it.

Question

Hi all long story short i ordered something that was a pre order that was released in February and the seller has said they are shipping it now the last 2 weeks nothing no update and ghosting me. I paid with ebay mastercard am I just screwed now? Is this something i can file fraud with. It still shows the item has not shipped.

Sellers of presale items are required to provide the exact date the item becomes available in the listing and are also required to ship within 30 days of the sale. But buyers must know about the policy in order to use the Money Back Guarantee in the time allowed.

On eBay, buyers have up to thirty days from the last estimated shipping date shown in the Purchase History to file a case. After that, eBay can no longer help.

PayPal and most credit cards provide some protection for up to 180 days from the time of purchase. Check with your card issuer to see if you have any options remaining. After six months, there is little recourse unless your credit card gives you extra protection.
