Packing a handbag for delivery
Are padded mailers adequate for sending a handbag or does the handbag need to be in a box?

Most definitely use a box.

Mentor1 year agoI think it depends on the value and type of handbag.
A cotton/fabric soft handbag is probably ok to ship in a mailer.
A leather bag that is pricey should probably be shipped in a box.
It's important to remember that you only give the buyer one chance to make a great impression when they get their item. You don't want them to buy an expensive bag and then receive it stuffed in a padded mailer. Show that you care about the item.
I would also note, shipping is expensive. Buyers are less likely to understand why shipping prices are so high. If you were to charge a fair shipping charge and then shortchange them on the packaging they will be less likely to be satisfied with the experience and the package.
