Question

I reached out to a buyer to see if he wanted an additional item and he bought it. Then I packed them together and shipped them under one label. Did I mess up? I am not using the second label so it doesn't show that I shipped the item but I did. What should I do to make sure the item shows as shipped?

1) If you paid for a 2nd label that you didn't use, get a refund for that first:

Here's how to cancel (or void) an unused shipping label you purchased on eBay:

- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/my-ebay

- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.

- Choose your reason for canceling the label.

- Select Cancel shipping label.

You have 28 days to cancel a label. The refund will come about 21 days after you cancel.

2) You should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item so you have eBay seller protection, and can get paid.

The tracking number will be the same as the first item

- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

- From More actions, select Add tracking number.

- Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.

- Select Submit.

If the system will not allow you to use that same tracking number,

You should mark them as shipped from the drop-down list to the right, here:
https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

You'll get paid, just a little later.

3) For the future you can combine 2 items into one package.

- If the buyer checks out 2 items with one payment, eBay will have the sales already combined.

- If the buyer pays for more than 1 item separately, you can combine the orders before selecting a label using the "bulk shipping" tool on the browser.

On the next screen it will ask if you want to 'combine' the orders. Check that box.

Enter the weight and dimensions for the package and print your label.
