Packaging for shoes shipping USPS Ground Advantage
Hi All -
Newish to Ebay selling here and getting educated in shipping. Most of my buyers select USPS priority mail but I recently sold a pair of shoes with USPS ground advantage. What do you recommend for the packaging - I'm not seeing anything free? My own boxes make it too expensive, and my existing ground packaging looks a bit rough (I'd like to send something aesthetically pleasing). Note these are very light, barefoot type shoes at 12oz. My current options include repackage my existing ground adv bag, priority padded envelope, or head to the store and buy a padded envelope of my own to ship ground.
Thanks!

Mentor3 years agoI would never ship shoes in an envelope, I would use a box. Priority offers "free" cartons and builds the cost into the postage.
If this purchase was for the barefoot running shoes, I only see Priority as an option on the listing, so you should ship that way. You can't downgrade the shipping service you selected for your listing (unless the buyer specifically asks you to). There would be no way for the buyer to select ground shipping from that listing.
