packaging for mailing magazines

Question

I am curious to learn how other sellers package their magazines for sale. I used to cover corners with cardboard and/or mail in between 2 pieces of cardboard to but with todays mail prices I don't think I can afford doing that. Is there much damage in just mailing in a padded envelope?

@7215barbara . We get our cardboard for shipping from the grocery store. Ask them to save you large boxes.

If you don't protect your items when mailing, you're going to receive more items not as described cases opened for refunds.

The cardboard is worth it in my opinion. Just pass along the cost to the buyer as usual. I buy cardboard sheets in bulk right here on eBay and the cost per sheet is about $0.17 each for 200 and about $0.11 for 1,000.
