Package was mis-directed to an old address
I have a buyer who is getting angry and impatient, also causing me headaches. He bought an auction from me on the 3rd, then emailed me the next day after I printed his shipping label an mentioned he didn't update his address in his eBay profile. He wanted me to cancel the shipping label and post it again as a Buy-it-now and purchase it a second time. I thought that was too much trouble so I asked him for his new address, he provided it, I corrected it on the package, sent it off and the USPS tracking says its going to his old address and to be delivered on Monday. On top of that he has been emailing me with vulgar comments and criticism on my handling of this auction. I don't want to email him for fear of aggravating him any more and opening a case against me for something he failed to do. Is there any way I can get he package re-directed from the USPS. Thanks

You were required to ship to the address provided by Ebay. When the buyer contacted you to let you know about the updated address, you should have cancelled the transaction and relisted so the buyer could have re-purchased it using the correct shipping address. You cannot get the package redirected.
Not sure this will end well for you. Keep your fingers crossed.

OP1 year agoOk, that is good information that I did not know. Can the USPS re-direct or have the package returned to me if I request it?
