package delivered and customer says it was not
I have an issue with a package that was marked as left in the box but the customer says they never received it. Ebay is saying I don't have to do anything because tracking said it was delivered. That seems like just leaving the customer hanging. I've been in communication with him and he checked the post office who say they have no record of the parcel even though by USPS it was sent there, scanned out for delivery and left in a parcel box. Do I just sit back and wait for him to request a refund now?

If tracking shows it was delivered to your address, but wasn't, call or visit the carrier with the tracking number and insist they track down where the package was actually left, which they can do with scans and GPS.
If delivered to a wrong address they will try to retrieve it. Also watch the tracking for a scan it got turned in or returned to the seller. If it shows it was delivered to your address and is now stolen or missing, it is a matter for a local police report and your insurance company. Neither ebay or the seller can help further.

OP11 months agoThanks. I was the seller and just trying to help the buyer. He got nowhere asking his post office. I was expecting a claim against me.. but tonight he said a neighbor came over with the box.
