Package damaged during shipping
I sold a vinyl, mint copy. The buyer tells me there's a battered part at the top of the sleeve. Basically a small slit/rip in the sleeve. I know it must've happened during transportation through the Postal network. I always post pictures of flawed parts of the vinyl before listing them. Telling the location on the copy itself. What should I do?

Mentor3 years agoIf you purchased insurance for the package, ask the buyer for photos of the package as well as the item. Then file a claim at usps.com (or through your label history if you purchased shipcover insurance). Ask them to hold the item - they may need to take it to their PO for inspection.
Ask the buyer to open a return request so you can provide a return label. Then refund when returned. If filing a claim, ask them to wait and send it after you hear about the claim. Ask them to print the label, then you can use the 'refund buyer now' option, although it is OK to ask them to wait just a few days for you to hear about the claim.
