Overpay for small letter
I selling items weighing 0.3 oz. and 1 x 0.5 x 4 inches. I chose USPS First Class Mail Letter.
2 to 5 business days
Max. 3 oz., 11.5 x 6.1 x 1 in. Max. 3 ounces, 11.5 by 6.1 by 1 inches
$0.78.
But when I looked at the payments results, I saw that you charged me $5 for shipping instead of $0.78.
How can this be explained?

Mentor6 months agoFairly simple to explain. Although eBay will allow you to choose that shipping method on your listing you cannot purchase that label through eBay since First Class Mail does not have the required tracking so the best you can do is Ground Advantage Mail. When you offer First Class Mail you are expected to place stamps on the envelope and you do not have any seller protection against a claim for an "Item not received" since you have no tracking to prove delivery. So any label you purchase through eBay will cost more than a stamp.
