Overcharge on an ordered item

Hello. Putting this out therer for advice/assitance.

I ordered and item ( a 2-pack of drill batteries) that was being posted by 'pasto_3256'.

The POSTED PUCHASE PRICE for this item, one 2-pack of batteries was $49.99, and when it came, the bill showed I was charged TWICE that amount, $105.98.

I'm pretty sure I didn't want nor order TWO 2-packs at $49.99, however because of the patchy nature of checking on eBAY or Amazon orders after the fact, it can be difficult to backtrack what was actually filled out in the order.

I need to have $49.99 plus tax refuned to me for the 2-pack of batteries that I didn't order and did not receive.

I have contacted the seller, but I don't anticipate a positive correction. Does anyone have advice on how to proceed in getting my overcharge refunded?

If your Purchase history shows you ordered one 2-pack for $49.99, and you paid for the item using a credit card, check your credit card statement to confirm you were only charged once. If you see 2 transactions, one might be the pre-authorization while the other is the actual charge. The pre-authorization will fall off.

First, go look at the Order Details and find out for sure how many you ordered. If you order 2 packs and one was missing, open a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, missing parts. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved. Seller may also just offer a partial refund for the missing parts, but it is up to your whether to accept it or not.
