over sees shipping to a US base

Question

I have a item going to a US military base. I do. not know what country and it’s supposed to be handled as USPS mail so why is it making me fill out tarrif info and how do you find the code if you don’t know the country it so shipping to ??? Thanks for your help.

@zebbr_41 The HS Tariff code is required because the final destination is most likely overseas. The code is the same for the item no matter what country it goes to.

You can use this site to look up the tariff code. Try to describe the item in basic terms.
