over charging tax on an item
When you buy something on ebay and recieve a discount price , Why do you have to pay the tax on the item before it was discounted ? The before price isnt what you are paying , why is the tax on the full price not the discounted price ?

You pay sales tax on the item price plus shipping. If the discount was a coupon or discount code, you are taxed on the price of the item before the coupon is applied. This is the way it works on every website I've purchased from.
