Over charged for shipping label
Summary: mydailydeals4u shared their experience on being overcharged for a shipping label on eBay, which almost equaled the item's sale price. They expressed frustration over their inability to correct the issue and the unhelpful customer support they encountered. jacbarcollectibles responded, explaining that since the label was used, a refund is not possible and emphasized the importance of checking such details before using the label, noting that cancelation for a refund was only possible prior to usage.
I sold an item on ebay. When I went to create the label it did not ask me for the weight or dimension of the box. It just created the label. I was in a hurry and I printed the label and shipped the item. When I went back to check I was charged $96.00 for the label close the price of the item that was sent ground. I want to see if I can correct this because now I have lost all the money I would have made. I am trying to get help from the chat but it is no help and it seems I cannot talk to a person. I can request a call from customer service but my phone blocks unknown numbers.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedThere is nothing that you can do now that you used the label. If you had noticed this prior to using the label you could have cancelled the label and made a new one. The cancelled label would have been refunded in 21 days once the shipping carrier approved the refund. Since the label was used the shipping carrier will not allow a refund. If you shipped using the USPS they may catch the shipping charge error and refund you on their own but this does not always happen.
