over charge on a label

i mailed an item that weighed 7 oz and it was 8" long and about 8" around. i was charged $37.44 for the postage and didn't realize until i mailed it and I'm trying to get a refund but ebay is saying i have to go to the usps and they are saying i didn't have any refundable extra services purchased for this label. Has anybody else ran into this problem?

Hi @imyourharleygirl When the package dimensions, weight, or class of service you used are in error, you should automatically receive a cost adjustment from USPS, but that can take some time.
