Outrageous AD FEES
Has the Community used marketing tools and realized that EBAY is stealing your money. I recently viewed my earning for April. Sales of a few items $197.65 and I show $182.55 expenses. The typical Transaction fees are bad enough, but the Ad Fees are outrageous, and it dissolves any profits. 103.64 in Ad fees. 197.65 subtracting all ebay fees (186.55) is $11.10 in income which is terrible. Ebay is becoming not worth my time when I can list stuff on Facebook Market place. For the year I have $1382.24 and 646.65 in Fees. 197.70 in transaction fees and an outrageous $448.95 in AD FEEs. Have people complained to Ebay about this. Have you requested refunds? I think I just close my account after 30 years and use Facebook MarketPlace.

You are in complete control of your ad fees and whether or not you even want to promote your items.
If you want to promote your listings and are allowing eBay to determine your ad rate, stop doing that and set your own ad rate.
Some sellers do quite well without promoting at all, others only promote selected items, some sellers promote everything (and may be throwing away money by doing so).
