Here is what it looks like if you have the new "threaded" message box on both desktop and app:
the Circle with the P is the recipient.
The 1st line "p...." is the recipient's user name
The 2nd line "Clear Mini..." is the item title
The 3rd line "Hi there..." is the message that I sent.

Mentor2 years agoIf you are using a desktop browser and the older "classic" message format, you should be able to see recent messages you have sent in the Sent folder:

If you are using the eBay app or the newer "chat-style" message format, your sent messages should be viewable by opening one of the messages you responded to, or a message that replied to your message.
Not sure if there is an easy way to see messages you have sent but that were not in response to another message or that did not receive a response, though, in that newer format. [edit -- I see that eastlaneave has indicated that those messages should be in your inbox.]

Mentor2 years agoIf you have the new "threaded" messages, your sent messages will be in the same place as incoming messages.
- If you are having a back and forth discussion with a buyer, the whole conversation will be in one thread.
- If you initiated the conversation and the buyer hasn't replied, it will be in your messages, too. It will be titled the buyer's name - the person you sent the message to.
