Ordering a Product as a Guest

Question

I ordered a product as after changing my account email address and then password. When I go to track my purchase (which I have proof of payment for through EBay - along with a confirmation #) I continue to receive a message that says "Order number not Found", "No item ordered recently", etc. What I discovered is that EBay was continuing to pull up the information from the previous email address and password. It appears there is no new account information from which I ordered the product.

Has anyone run across this situation? How did you resolve this? There is no way to contact a live person anymore through EBay. I am sad that I may not get my product and I'm assuming, I may not be able to get a refund either.

Guest purchases are not connected to an eBay account. If you created an eBay account since your guest purchase, you will have to sign out of your eBay account to use the "order details" link in the email you received from eBay regarding the guest order, or else try right clicking on the link and choosing to open it in a private or incognito browser window.

If you had an account but changed your email, username or password, you may have inadvertently created a new account and placed the order using that account (or a previous account). In that case you will need to sign in to the account you used to find the purchase in your Purchase History and go from there.
