I am new to eBay and found something that I liked. I’m not sure how it works but the seller of the item wants my credit card information before they accept my offer on an item. How do I know that this is legitimate

Only pay using eBay checkout then the seller never sees your personal information and you are protected by the ebay money back guarantee for most items. Be sure to look for the eBay Money Back Guarantee on the listing.
What the seller is asking is against eBay policy and very risky to your personal information and you might not even get the item.
