Order Returned for Insufficient Address
This is a follow up email to one I sent earlier this week. I sold an order that was returned to me for insufficient address. I sent 2 messages to the buyer after I got it back and they haven't responded. They signed up for EBay the day before the purchase. This happened to me once before in the past and it was a scammer.
I was advised by an experienced community member to cancel the order and only return the cost of the item.( the buyer did pay for shipping). I have tried to reach customer service but no luck.
Now I'm wondering, can they try to get their money back from EBay guarantee policy and me?
I have never had an item returned.
Thank you.

You did your job as a seller and shipped to the address provided at checkout. The buyer is required to provide a valid address.
I personally think that the easiest method ONCE you have the item back is to go to the sold listing on this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS Select send refund from the drop down menu of the item price ONLY. Select other for the reason.
Then you can relist it for sale. Message the buyer and let them know it was relisted if they are still interested in the product to be sure to provide a valid address at checkout.
