Order not delivered, ebay refunds buyer!
Quick question. Can someone explain what to do when thieves (eBay) refunds the money to buyer for order not being delivered by the carrier? How to handle this part if anyone had an experience besides filling a claim with carrier (which i didn't purchase insurance, item is $795 and if i file a claim i get $100 back as standard insurance)?
Thank you in advance.

It has always been eBay policy that the seller is 100% responsible for getting the item to the buyer. Always.
The seller chooses the carrier. The seller has the option to purchase full insurance to cover loss (insurance is for the seller <who contracts with the carrier>, not the buyer).
The buyer is (rightly) refunded 100% (they have done nothing but pay for an item that they did not receive). The buyer has no culpability/responsibility in this.
Your only redress is with the carrier.
Not what you want to hear, I know, but this is the way it has always been on eBay.

OP1 year agoI appreciate you for the response. I started purchasing insurance for items $150+ from now on. Those mail carriers seem to eye binoculars, scopes and sights that they seem to get lost, they steal them once they realize that there's no insurance has been purchased on them. Now all of a sudden, since i started purchasing insurance, they get delivered without any issues.

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Buyer Purchase Protection. In the Order Details for each sale, it shows the estimated delivery date. Once it is one day past that date, the Buyer is allowed to open an Item Not Received refund request. The Seller then has three business days to respond with either a valid tracking showing the package is about to be delivered or a full refund. If the Seller does not respond on time, on the 4th day the Buyer can ask eBay to step in and force the refund. The Seller then gets a defect on their account for not resolving things with their Buyer.
Once the package is delivered, it's between the Buyer and Seller to work out having the Buyer pay the Seller back via PayPal or Venmo.
The Seller files the insurance claim.
