Order not arrived, seller vanished

Question

I ordered a book 'The Land in Winter' by Andrew Miller on 7th December 2025, due to arrive 19th December - 9th January. It hasn't arrived. I had the emails confirming all this, money was taken, etc. Today I went on my eBay and there is no record of my purchase, and the item was removed for 'violation'. The seller has gone too.

I cannot find any way of sorting this - I can't contact the seller, and I keep getting on the same treadwheel of reading articles etc. What do I do?

It sounds like you purchased the item as a guest.

To start a return request or report a problem with an item you bought as a guest, you'll need your order confirmation email. This is the email eBay sent at the time of your purchase with all your order details. The subject line starts with "Order Confirmed".

If you don't have that email, you can request another copy of the order confirmation email on this page:

LOG OUT OF YOUR eBay Account first, then

Once you have the email, you can follow the process

You can also open an Item Not Received case

1) Select View order details in your order confirmation email.

2) Select Item Not Received

3) Follow the steps
