Order from over a year ago hasn’t been refunded by seller

Hello all. An order I placed March 2025 that was never shipped still hasn’t been refunded by the seller. I requested a refund through eBay after over a month had passed and it had not been shipped. The seller never responded to the request and eBay closed the case. It was not an eBay guaranteed purchase. Is there anything else I can do? The seller finally responded to my messages on eBay after over a year and told me I had to take it up with eBay.

If the item was subject to eBay's guarantee, you had thirty days from the last estimated delivery date shown at the time of purchase to file an "item not received" case. At that point the seller would have had three business days to provide tracking that showed delivery or else refund you. If the seller did neither, you could have asked eBay to step in after that. After twenty-one business days, the case would automatically close if you took no further action and eBay would not be able to help after that.

Some credit cards offer up to six months of protection from the date of purchase for items that are not received.

After a year has passed you likely have few options left.
