Order does not show up so can't get started on a return

I bought a pair of Asics women's Dynablast runnint shoes via Asicsamerica. However, they tell me to contack Ebay but Ebay does not show my order and the seller does not give me the tracking number. Can anyone please help because I cannot get passed their dumb, yes dumb, AI Assistant!

Here is how to return an item:

Find the item in your Purchases - opens in new window or tab.
Select Return this item from the menu on the right.
Select your reason for the return and enter a comment about why you're returning it.
If the item arrived damaged, broken, or faulty, you must add at least 1 image (with a maximum of 10) relevant to the reason you're returning the item for, and showing any scratches or defects. Make sure to follow our Images, video and text policy when you're uploading images.
Select Confirm return.

Why would you need a tracking number for an item you want to return?
