I found out ebay apply tas on shipping cost, it is not legal. Ebay added up shipping cost to the item amount and apply tax for total amount. This is a federal crime!

·3 years agoIf sales tax is collected in the shipping charge is up to your state.
Some states require Ebay to collect sales tax on the shipping charge and send it to them.
If you think it's an federal crime, talk to your state reps.

eBay is required to follow the law and collect sales tax as directed by the individual states.
