orange connex fake package
On Friday, April 19, 2024, I received an unordered item. The return address was CS@Orangeconnex.com, 1841 Taylor Ave, Building 24, Louisville KY 40213, phone = (866)960-9554. It was a tiny envelope with a “thank you for your purchase†note in it, and a piece of red string with a knot in it. I received an email from ebay the same day, saying they had delivered a pair of shoes. The tracking number on the email (supposedly shoes) matched the tracking number on the tiny envelope with string. Isn’t this mail fraud?
The reason that this is more than a small annoyance is that the Monday before, my bank received a charge of $500, from “Amazonâ€, which I didn’t authorize, and I didn’t purchase anything. Please be on the lookout everyone, and watch your bank accounts. And ebay should reconsider using this subcontractor.

If you ordered shoes and received string, file a "not as described" return for the shoes and return the string to get your money back.
What kind of feedback does your seller have for selling?
You can avoid many issues by choosing to only do business with experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering similar items as seen by examining the seller's feedback page, and by avoiding inexperienced sellers, sellers with patterns of negative feedback indicating serious problems, or sellers with large gaps in the selling history or recent drastic changes of seller behavior.
Orange Connex is a legitimate fulfillment service that sells many items, but it has no connection to eBay.
Sometimes scammers use that company to generate a tracking number by ordering a small, inexpensive part.
eBay does not share credit card information with sellers or buyers, so there is no reason to believe that an Amazon charge on a credit card statement is connected to eBay.
