opt out of facebook cross listing
Has anyone tried to Opt out of the new feature that cross lists items with Facebook Marketplace? I have tried and it opens an AI Chat that is of no help. I typed in "would like to opt-out of cross listing with Facebook" and it says it doesn't recognize what I'm saying.

Mentor1 year ago@wirkowtqwn This new program is VERY limited. Not everyone's listings are going to be included so you probably don't need to worry about opting out.
Keep in mind that this is NOT like selling on FB marketplace where you have to deal with scam offers.
Basically these will just be ads that eBay is paying for on FB. The buyer will click the ad on FB and then be brought back to eBay to checkout.
I honestly am curious why you wouldn't want free advertising.

OP1 year agoI don’t want my Facebook page involved. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe the item will show up anonymously with my eBay name and not linked to my FB at all, which is probably the case.
its still my choice and they claim there is a way to opt out but don’t make it easy because they don’t really want you to.
And why not do it the opposite? Tell you how to opt in.

Mentor1 year agoIt wouldn't be on your FB page. You are of course supposed to be able to opt out. eBay just says to "contact them" , chances are slim to none that us low volume sellers are going to have their listings picked though.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service:
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.
1. CLICK THIS LINK:

2. Request a call back
3. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

Mentor1 year agoThere is no way to opt out of ebay placing your listing on Facebook Marketplace. If your listing meets their criteria, the listing will appear there, but a prospective buyer would be taken to your ebay listing to make the purchase.
