Opened a return
Seller told me to open a return so he could refund me, but doesnt actually need the item to be returned since it was damaged. Is there a problem with ebay if i dont ship it back? Since they sent me a label and it said ship it back by jan29, but what happens if i dont?

Mentor8 months agoNo, if you already have the refund you do not have to send it back.
By refunding, the seller indicated that he no longer wants the item back.

Mentor8 months agoIt sounds like the seller is trying to pull a fast one.
You should send it back right away. If you do not send it back the case might close without a refund.
If the seller wanted to refund you, they could without the return, but the can also string you along to get past the refund point.
If you have the label you should immediately send it back. When it is delivered back to the seller, they will refund you and if they don't you can ask eBay to step in to help.

Mentor8 months agoThat was my first thought, too. In light of the further disclosure by the OP, though, now it sounds like the seller just didn't know. I'm glad there was a happy ending already.
