Open case for return after a local pick up?
Hello! My friend has a strange history and I am afraid to repeat this for me.
My friend sold a 50 years old camera with a local pick up. After two weeks a buyer wrote that the camera did not works. OK, my friend sold it with 30-day return with free for buyer, this camera was made 50 year ago, it could die in any moment, my friend was ready to refund.
BUT Ebay opened a case, blocked all money (and wrote that all money be available only in 3 days after delivery!), did not permit to return with a local pick up. My friend cannot understand what it happens, what is reason of case? Ebay told that they opened a case themself, not a customer.
My friend cannot understand what means "decision" in this case, when he refund money he will have a "Cases closed without seller resolution"?
I also sell an expensive items with a local pick up and now I am afraid that I can have problems with this. I am top seller and do not want to lost this status.
May be somebody has a same experience? What should I do with a local pick up?
