Did you file an official return claim through eBay? If so you can either try contacting eBay and ask for the rest of the refund or file a dispute through your funding source (PayPal, credit card, etc.)
We recently learned that many of the links we post to Request a call back are now simply forwarding members to eBay's Customer Service "How can we help you today?" page (link below). On that page members have to complete numerous choices before being given ways to be in direct contact with eBay. Depending on the subject, representative availability and other factors requesting a call back may or may not be possible. Chat or an email may be provided. If you get a Chat box Type “AGENT in the box. You can also contact eBay through Social Media if you have accounts there.
If on the other hand you tried to work the full refund out with the Seller through eBay messaging they are under no obligation to refund you in full and there is NO eBay oversite.
Yep, did it all ! Some of my emails to eBay said sent, but no response from eBay. Others said try back later or not able to help, etc. Sounds like a scam to me on the sellers part and pure manipulation for seller and eBay. Not Happy ! Time for NEG feedback ! Have been trying to resolve this sense Dec 15 2025
Yes, I have 100% Feedback as you can see and have been on here for over 20 years! I'm really disappointed in eBay at the very least.
I wanted to say also, thanks for your response, thanks again

You are more than welcome. We got started buying in 2007 then added Selling in 2015 so the account I use is almost 20 years old. Sadly, here on The Community we have learned that perfect Feedback history means nothing to eBay. The venue is all about making money, that is their business and they do it on the backs of Sellers.
Here are some of the ins and outs for Sellers. If you filed an official eBay return and the Seller refunded you through the claim process and held back money on the total item price they will NOT get their eBay fees back.
If they simply refunded you outside an eBay claim then they WILL get their eBay fees back. Either way eBay winds up with some fees on the transaction and they charge the fees on the Item price, the paid shipping from the Buyer AND any sales tax levied on the transaction. So, while different categories charge different fee percentages the basic amount is usually around 13%. So without any promotions the Seller might have used (costing more fees) or listing upgrades (costing more fees) about 13% of the total you paid the Seller was taken by eBay in fees at the time of purchase.

Well, sorry to say but it might be time to file a dispute with your funding source ...
Obviously, you are not going to get your full refund. We hate seeing that happen.
