One Day After Making a Purchase, Seller Is No Longer A Registered eBay User.
I purchased from a new eBay seller. The next day the seller is listed on eBay as no longer being a registered user. I was provided a tracking number for my purchase but USPS hasn’t received the package yet so now I’m wondering if I’ll ever receive it. What should I do - wait it out and request a refund from eBay if I don’t receive it by the date promised? One other note of interest, the night before he became no longer a registered user he messaged me asking if I was interested in a few other items he has similar to what I just purchased from him and even gave a price (I did not reply). Was that against eBay rules and perhaps the reason why he is no longer a registered user with eBay?

You are still protected by eBay's money back guarantee.
Here is what eBay says about removed listings:
"What happens if I bought something from a seller who's been removed from eBay?
If you haven't paid for the item, you won't need to. The item should've been removed from your purchase history. We encourage you to look for a similar item from a different seller.
If you already paid for the item, please follow these steps:
If you receive your item, but want to return it, you can request a refund."
