On bidding - is there a notification when your bid is accepted?
I bid on an item a few days ago. The following day when I logged back in I was prompted to pay for it.
There was no notification that my bid had been accepted. I wasn't sure if I was being asked to pay in case it was accepted or because it had been.
I assume it was accepted because I see the order and just received (via email) an order update that the seller is packing the item to ship.
Is this how bidding works or did I maybe miss a notification somewhere that my bid had been accepted?

Mentor1 year agoWhen a listing is using the auction format, the seller does not accept the bid. Each bid is automatically accepted if it is higher than the previous bid. Highest bid at the end of the auction wins the item.
If the listing has auto pay, then you will need to specify a payment method if you are the winner. The payment method will be charged within 1 hour of the auction ending, so you have 1 hour in which to go to ebay Checkout if you wish to change the payment method.
