Old account/guest purchase access problem
I have an old account, but made a recent purchase as a guest. I can access my old account, but the new purchase is not listed. I can access the new purchase, but am asked by eBay to register and then told I already have an account.

OP2 years agoThank you for your kind reply. Yes, I have tried the guest link sent via e-mail and gained access through it, but the minute I try to take any action, like contact seller or start refund, I am thrown into the register popup again. Are you suggesting I delete my old account first?

Mentor2 years agoNo, no need to delete anything.
Just sign out of your current eBay account. If you are using a desktop browser, hover your cursor over the "Hi [firstname]" message in the upper left of a regular eBay page and select "Sign out". Then use the link in the email.
You cannot use the link in the guest email while you are signed in to an eBay account; the guest transaction is not in your eBay account at all. When you try to access order information that is not part of your account, eBay will assume you used a different account and you will get a sign-in prompt which you cannot use because you purchased as a guest, not using an eBay account.

Guest purchases are not connected to your eBay account.
For help with a guest purchase, first sign out of eBay completely, then use the link in the email that eBay sent you regarding the guest purchase or see here:
