Offer/Counter Offer Backstab
I made an offer to a seller for an listing. The seller made a counter offer that arrived while I was at work, then less than 6 hours later, accepted another buyer's offer that was LOWER than the counter-offer. It was well within the 24 hour response period that I had, and due to the timing, I had no opportunity to accept or reject the counter offer. How is this allowed? The seller just completely screwed me over.

The seller did nothing wrong.
Until a buyer accepts the seller's counteroffer, the item is still for sale.
The 24 hours is referring to when the offer/counteroffer expires, it does not mean the item is off the table for those 24 hours.
