Offer with shipping cost 4 times as much as original listing
I received an offer from a seller that I want to accept but the shipping is more than 4 times as much as in the original listing. It would cost way more if I accepted the offer than if I bought the item for it’s original price.
I contacted the seller and they said it was because I live in another country, the seller is in US and I’m in Sweden. But I’ve selected Sweden as my shipping location so the shipping costs shown in the original listing should be for Sweden.
Am I missing something or Is the seller trying to trick me to pay more for shipping than I have to by making the offer?

When a U.S. Seller makes an offer, that would include whatever shipping costs they already have in the listing to ship within the United States. In addition to that shipping cost, you would need to pay eBay shipping to get it from the U.S. to Sweden.
This would only apply if the Seller is enrolled in eBay's International Shipping Program. Some Sellers ship directly to other countries, but that option offers less protection for both parties. I don't think the Seller is trying to trick you.

When I add the item to my shopping cart to see how much the total shipping cost will be it says that it is the same as in the original listing (17,35 USD), does this mean that the additional shipping costs will be added if I continue to the next step and click “go to checkout
I haven’t tried to click “go to checkout†to see how much additional costs will be added because I’m not sure if I’m obligated to go through with the purchase if I do.
