Offer accepted, but not showing as being sold.
Hello. Someone made me an offer yesterday and I accepted the offer. That is the last I have heard of anything regarding this item. It did not show up as a sold notification and it has not been paid for. It is just in limbo. As such, I can't send an invoice or do anything at all. Not, it has happened again today. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Mentor1 year agoThe item is not actually sold until it is paid for. Until that happens, the item remains listed and anyone can still buy it, so there is nothing that you need to do.

OP1 year agoThank you for the reply. Until this incident yesterday (and today), every single time I have accepted an offer, without acception, I would get the "Sold Awaiting Payment" notification on my laptop as well as on my phone. On the rare occasion that someone didn't immediately remit payment, I was able to invoicce them. None of that has happenned with these 2 items. I have never seen this happen before. It's frustrating.

Mentor1 year agoeBay has changed the way offers work. Sellers were complaining that accepted offers would end listings and go unpaid, resulting in sellers having to wait four days to relist; this change prevents that four day gap when items can't be sold, since the item only ends when payment is made.

OP1 year agoThank you for the reply. THAT makes sense in this situation. Did this change just go into effect? I accept offers all the time and this is the first time I've seen this. Thank you eburtonlab.

Mentor1 year agoYou are welcome. Others have been posting about this for a while now, so it appears that eBay may be slowly rolling out changes, or not everyone was affected (or noticed) at the same time.
