Offees on items I only looked at

I have been overwhelmed recently with offers on items I ONLY LOKED AT! I am not watching or bidding on these items, I only looked at the listing. These offers are clogging up my emails and notifications. If I was interested in actually buying the item, I would either buy it, watch it, or bid on it. This new policy is very annoying and distracts me from seeing changes on items I might actually want. How can I make it stop?

You can stop the emails at My eBay: Account: Communication Preferences: Buying by unchecking Offers from Sellers and saving the changes. This will also stop offers based on you having it on your Watch List or in your Cart, if that makes a difference to you.

There used to be a way to control your onscreen notifications but that disappeared with a reformat of Account page a few years ago (not sure if that was accidental or intentional).
