Nuwelcome email
Hello
I recently opened an eBay account and a couple minutes after confirming my email I got an email from newuser@nuwelcome.ebay.com asking if I wanted to update my user name. I clicked the account and it took me to ebay, but I immediately closed it thinking it may have been phishing. Is this a legit email?

Mentor1 month agoI have never seen that email address, and I suspect it is a phishing scam.

OP1 month agoOk. When did you join eBay if I may ask? Could this be the new automated message sent out to new users? The link opens to eBay

OP1 month agoOk I ended up calling eBay customer service and they confirmed that it is a legitimate eBay marketing email. I was scared there for a second but maybe it’s something that older users of eBay may not have received. I’ll leave this post up in case anyone else is having a similar issue because I couldn’t find much info about it.
