Notify eBay and the seller that I am handling the return myself.
I initiated the return of the item on my own, and the seller sent me the shipping label today, but the "add tracking" option isn't showing up. How can I ensure that both eBay and the seller are aware of the return? I messaged the seller, but they haven't replied.

Mentor3 weeks agoMake sure the return is still open. If so going to the return details should show a place to update the tracking number. If not, you will have to contact ebay.

Mentor3 weeks agoDid you open a Return Request for an Item Not as Described, missing items? IF so seller has three days to send or have ebay send a prepaid return label for you to use. Are you saying you used and pay for your own return label? IF so you will have to go to the Return Request and update the tracking number. You also may not be getting your return postage cost back.

OP3 weeks agoI forwarded the item myself on September 1st; I am not asking for reimbursement of the shipping cost. eBay does not give me the option to add the new tracking number. The seller has had all the information and photos since September 1st.

OP3 weeks agoI sent the seller a photo of the shipping receipt with the tracking number back on September 1st, but today they sent me a shipping label for the item I already sent, stating that if I don't use that specific label, they won't refund my money.

OP3 weeks agoFrom the very moment I initiated the refund request because the item was incomplete, the seller was reluctant to cooperate or issue a refund. This strikes me as an excuse to keep both the item and my money.
