Has anyone recently purchased an item and it didn’t show on my notifications. Is this happening to anyone else?
Also, may be coincidental but sending a message to the seller twice with no reply

I don't know of any "notification", but I am able to see my purchased items right away in my Purchase History and I receive a confirmation email from Ebay.
What is the reason for needing to send messages to the seller?
