Noticed an issue with an item after it sold and buyer has not responded.
I accepted an offer on an item this morning and when i went to grab it to wrap it up i noticed a defect i had not previously seen when listing the item. I messaged the buyer to make them aware of the issue before they sent payment offering to either cancel the order or give a partial refund on the item if they still were interested in buying it. Ive yet to receive a reply from the buyer yet they paid an hour or two after i sent my initial message and two pictures of the issue with the item. Im wondering if i should hold the item in hopes the buyer messages me back with whichever route theyd like to take or if i should just send the item expecting poor feedback or a possible return? Or should i simply cancel the order outright messaging the buyer again in hopes to reach them explaining why the order was cancelled and that i still have it and its still available to them? If i do send the item anyway with no response from the buyer i plan to include a note in the package stating what is wrong with the item and that i had attempted to contact them about it before shipping and to please contact me if there is any desire for return. It was an honest mistake i really would like to fix the best i can with no or as little consequence to the buyer as possible. Thanks for reading.

OP2 years agoOk buyer replied less than 5 minutes after posting my question. I would still greatly appreciate any advice on the situation though should something like this ever occur again. Thanks again for reading!
