notice from ebay that a canceled item is being delivered
Summary: kaulike shared a concern about receiving a notice from eBay stating that an item, which they had previously canceled, is still being delivered. They did not provide further details or responses from others about how to resolve the issue.
I ordered an item in March. The seller said they made a mistake with the description and asked me to cancel, so I did. That was two months ago. This week, ebay has notified me that they are attempting to deliver the item. I contacted the seller, who has said that he did not send anything. I also did not get any USPS delivery, and it is strange to see "delivery attempted" when no signature is required.
I tried contacting ebay via chat, but the only option was for them to call me on the phone in 25 minutes. It is after 8pm here and I do not want a phone call, but there appears to be no other way to talk to ebay support to find out what is going on here - no chat with agent, no email support.
I have been an ebay user since the late 1990s and have never encountered anything like this, and I am not happy with the current level of customer contact. I know I have exchanged messages in the past.
